Dear Friend,
Hope Ministries is blessed with so many threads of hope. Our business, church and individual financial donors. Our volunteers from all walks of life. The contributors to our thrift ministry. “Woven together” these threads form a strong fabric of support that has sustained this ministry for 98 years.
Whatever thread your partnership entails, it is never more important than during the summer months. People more readily think of those who are homeless when the temperatures plummet or there’s snow on the ground. But in the summer months our giving typically drops off while our shelter numbers remain steady—or even increase when a single thread of hope a family’s been holding onto suddenly breaks and leaves them with nowhere to turn.
The opening of our new ENCORE Thrift Store offers an important and exciting opportunity to help us sustain our curriculum of care for those who are homeless throughout the summer. Your patronage as a shopper and your participation as a donor of slightly used clothing, shoes and household items are essential to this operation, which helps fund our programs and services.
Please don’t forget the homeless men, women and children at Hope Ministries this summer. We’re so grateful for your partnership and pray you’ll continue to be a thread of hope in whatever form God directs.
Your Partner in Ministry,

Leon Negen
