Dear Friends,
Each morning, I go through a routine that may be similar to your own. Among other things, mine includes drinking a cup of coffee and reading the paper. A day in my life is ordered by my service to Hope Ministries, family responsibilities and, when time allows, my favorite recreational activities.
In comparison, a day in the life of a homeless person is unpredictable, uncertain and, in many cases, uncontrollable. If you’ve ever had your car break down on a busy highway or been stranded without money, you have a glimpse of what this kind of life feels like.
At Hope Ministries, we help those who enter our Journey of Hope continuum of care regain their security and control by reestablishing order, structure and routine in their lives through our recovery programs.
In this issue of Stories of Hope, we share with you stories of three residents and how Hope Ministries has helped each one return to a life of security and structure. Your financial, volunteer and prayer support are invaluable to the process. Thanks for helping make each day in our guests’ lives better than the last.
