Dear Friends,
I don't know about you, but when I was a child, it was very hard to keep my head out from under the Christmas tree. There were gifts of all shapes and sizes under there—some with my name on them!
I had two questions when I looked at the growing pile of gifts: which ones are for me and what's in them?! I felt the contents of those packages could very well change my whole life. They were that important.
That's a bit how our clients feel as they sign up to be members of our recovery programs: Journey of Hope for men and H.E.A.R.T. for women. They can see the wrapping (our facilities) and they know there's a gift inside, but they aren't sure what it is and how it's going to affect them.
In this special holiday issue of Stories of Hope, you'll meet two homeless people who accepted the gift of recovery here at Hope Ministries and found real treasures inside! You'll also learn how you, too, have been and can continue to be part of the gift!
