Dear Friends,
When anyone asks about my best Christmas ever, I explain it’s the one coming up! How do I know? Because speaking from 15 years of experience here at Hope Ministries, every year has been even better than the last!
If you keep up with the number of meals served and nights of shelter provided we report in every issue of this newsletter, you know more and more people continue to find themselves without a home or the essentials they need to care for themselves or their families. Based on those statistics alone, you might wonder how things can possibly be getting better. I agree. The plight of our neighbors in need has never been more critical than it is today.
Yet with the growing need also comes a growing sense of community responsibility for God’s children. I see the evidence every day as more volunteers ask how they can help . . . more friends make first-time financial commitments . . . and more donors faithfully send their generous contributions, often giving up something personal in return. Together, we’re spreading God’s message of love, forgiveness and acceptance to more homeless, near-homeless and disheartened people. What could make Christmas any better than that!
As I look toward the holiday season and see our staff planning activities and volunteer registrations coming in, along with donations of cash, food and material gifts from friends like you, I know God has blessed this work. Our loving outreach will demonstrate the true meaning of Christmas to every life we touch. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. May each new Christmas be your best ever too!
Your Partner in Ministry,

Leon Negen
