This issue of Stories of Hope is all about you—the Power of U. It describes how God uses your compassion and creativity to relieve the burdens of the poor . . . to change hearts . . . and to transform lives.
Yet as one person leaves our care at Hope Ministries, ready to begin a bright future, another comes through our doors, desperate to overcome a painful past. For every struggling parent who finds a job, we meet another who can no longer provide for her family. For each new donor who sacrifices what little he has, there’s a past supporter who now makes too little to live on and must turn to us for help. When it seems we can never pause to catch our breath, your commitment refreshes our spirits and renews our strength.
God has blessed Hope Ministries so abundantly with friends like you. As you join forces with others in prayer, volunteer efforts and financial support—and as you share the work of Hope Ministries within your family, church and workplace—your power is multiplied in ways that become impossible to count or describe.
