The Bible has over 2000 scriptures about what we’re to be doing for the poor and needy. Matthew 25: 42-45 is one example. Jesus said, “When you’ve done it to the least of these, you’ve done it to me.”
It is not our intention to cause feelings of obligation for financial participation. We invite you to join as monthly partners only as you feel led by God to do so. We believe God will meet the need present here through those who respond. Funds received are used to care for the poor throughout the year. We ask you to pray for our ministry.

What Does “Partnership” Mean?
PARTNERSHIP: A frequent relationship between two or more people working together for one common goal.
Partnership is based on commitment because committed people are the ones who accomplish God’s purpose.
COMMITMENT: To say what you will do, and then to follow through and do what you have said.
Commitments are made because we see something we believe in enough that we want to be personally involved. We need partners who will commit an amount in their heart and stick to it.
“Partnering” means to be “a part of”. As a Bread of Life Monthly Partner, you are definitely a part of this ministry bringing healing to those who are feeling hopeless.
We invite you to become a member of Bread of Life and partner with us on a monthly basis in feeding and sheltering homeless, hungry and hurting men, women and children in Des Moines.
We especially appreciate donors who commit to be faithful and consistent monthly partners. This sort of personal partnership commitment enables Hope Ministries’ to anticipate a more predictable monthly stream of support, which allows us to better steward our resources. GIVING THROUGH AUTOMATIC DEDUCTION
Automatic deduction is a convenient and consistent method of supporting our ministry to the homeless and hungry in our community. Many more of our donors are choosing this option knowing also that it enables Hope Ministries’ to anticipate a more predictable monthly stream of support, which allows us to better steward our resources. There are two automatic deduction options:
1. Debit or Credit Card
You can authorize a one-time or on-going monthly deduction through your debit or credit card. Click HERE to choose this option by completing our on-line donation form.
All debit or credit card monthly donors are automatically members of our BREAD OF LIFE MONTHLY PARTNERS. Members of Bread of Life have made a commitment to be faithful and consistent mission partners with Hope Ministries by providing monthly financial support.
2. EFT – Electronic Funds Transfer
You can authorize an on-going deduction through your checking or savings account. You can accomplish this by printing, completing and mailing an EFT authorization form and your VOIDED check to Hope Ministries, Development Office, P.O. Box 862, Des Moines, Iowa 50304-0862. DONATE GIFT IN-KIND ITEMS
Non-cash gifts are referred to as GIFT IN-KIND. This would include donations of food, clothing and household items. For more information about gifts in-kind click HERE.
WILLS AND ESTATES (Leaving a Legacy of Hope)
In recent years our ministry to the homeless and hungry here in central Iowa has received financial support from faithful donors who remembered Hope Ministries in their will, life insurance, trust, memorials or other planned gift. Estate and gift planning (planned giving) is an effective way for donors to perpetuate their support beyond their lifetime.
One of the simplest ways to remember Hope Ministries is to include the following statement in your last will and testament:
“I [name], of [city, state, zip], give, devise and bequeath to Hope Ministries, Des Moines, Iowa, ____ percent of my estate for its unrestricted use and purpose.”
