We are a Christ-centered ministry providing support programs and services to homeless, hungry and hurting people in Des Moines and central Iowa.

JOB SUMMARY
The Intake Desk Clerk is responsible for the security and safety of the mission and the residents.
Maintains order in compliance to the house guidelines.
Checks in new residents and explains the Mission Regulations, answer the phone, help facilitate the work details, keep up the log book and other administrative paper work, as well as interact with non residents and public donors.
Follows policies and procedures and other duties assigned by the Intake Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
An expressed desire to minister to those who are poor, needy and homeless and subscribe to our core values, statement of faith, and purpose/mission statement. Must have ability to work with people in any condition of their lives. Ability to make decisions based on the need of the moment and the policy of the mission. Have a compassionate heart, desire to help make life changes in men, and willingness to assist residents with accountability and responsibility towards our regulations. Friendly nature.
EDUCATION
High School Degree minimum
Part-time Positions:
Shift supervisor at Hope Family Center
Schedule:
20-25 hours average per week with a maximum 29 hours per week
Afternoon and evening shifts with some fill-in overnight / weekend shifts

JOB SUMMARY
The Shift Supervisor position will function as a supportive role model for Hope Family Center residents. This involves promoting positive relationships, emotional wellness, and personal responsibility, while maintaining a safe internal and external environment.
Candidates must work well with people, demonstrate concern for the needs of others, exhibit an ability to motivate, extend grace but be able to provide tough love when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Spiritual Qualifications: Must have a lifestyle that demonstrates moral and ethical adherence to Biblical teachings; an expressed desire to minister to mothers and children in need of help and hope; and subscribe to our core values, statement of faith, and purpose/mission statement.
Education: High school degree, associate or BA degree preferred.
