Why is there a ticket price for this year’s Tea?

Those who have attended our Hearts for Hope Women’s Tea in past years may wonder about the addition of a ticket cost to this year’s event.

Simply put, it is our goal to be a good steward of our ministry’s funds and resources. Our staff have determined the best way to do this is to require a ticket price for our annual Tea. In past years, whenever women reserved a seat and then did not attend, or attended but chose not to give, Hope Ministries had to pay for the meal. By requiring a ticket price, we ensure the cost of the meal is not taken out of the funds generated by the free-will offering during the Tea.

Our Hearts for Hope Tea is a major fund-raiser for Hope Family Center. We will hold a free-will offering during the Tea for donations to Hope Family Center. Our hope and expectation is that women will give generously at this time

IRS rules do not permit the ticket price to be a tax-deductible contribution to Hope Ministries.
