Circle of Hope
The formation of the Circle of Hope was most inspiring. The Circle of Hope ceremony was uplifting. Here are the following words that were read by David Burrier during the Circle of Hope ceremony:
We will now have a brief ceremony as we join together in this circle of hope to pause and reflect on those in our community who are homeless or displaced.
It is our desire to stand in solidarity and to be a beacon of hope to those struggling to stay afloat.
Your participation today is a symbol of hope. Your willingness to take time out of your life to stand in this circle speaks volumes to those who feel nobody cares. To those who feel their life has no purpose. To those who are seeking understanding and grace.
At this moment in time, we have chosen to take a stand and to make a statement.
To those of you in the circle of hope who are currently members of the Hope Ministries community, let this experience lift your spirit and give you hope for a better day ahead.
Be encouraged and strengthened by what you see. Know that you are not alone. Know that there are many who DO care and are here today to demonstrate their compassion and love for you and others who are struggling.
Take a few moments now in silence and lift up in prayer those in our community who are treading water and just about ready to go under. Ask God for mercy and grace and to open up doors of opportunity for jobs and education and training and healing of hurt relationships and freedom
from addictions and wisdom for making good choices.
Let us take a few moments for prayer and reflection.
