Thank you so much to everyone who attended and participated in our 2010 Hearts for Hope Women’s Tea on Saturday, May 1. Your attendance and generous giving is a huge blessing to us!
We are pleased to announce that our Women’s Tea generated a total of $91,113! We are so grateful to the generosity of all who gave.
Although this does fall slightly short of our $100,000 need, we are feeling incredibly blessed, especially considering the current economic climate. Also, it’s not too late to support our Hope Family Center by giving a post-Tea gift! We could make our $100,000 goal yet! If you would like to make a post-Tea gift, simply click here to give online. You can also send in a post-Tea gift. Just write "Tea" in your check’s memo line and send it to Hope Ministries, PO Box 862, Des Moines, IA 50304.
During the Tea, we were all truly inspired by our keynote speaker Ashley Smith Robinson. Ashley shared her story of being held hostage by courtroom shooter Brian Nichols and how God changed her life during and since her harrowing experience.

We were thrilled to once again have Brooke Bouma, co-anchor of WHO Channel 13’s “Today in Iowa” show, as our guest emcee. This was Brooke’s third year as our emcee. Thanks, Brooke!
This year was Community State Bank’s fourth year as the Corporate Sponsor for our Women’s Tea. Thank you so much to CSB for your generous partnership.
Thank you very, very much to Johnna, currently a resident at our Hope Family Center, and Jenni, a former Hope Family Center resident and current Hope Aftercare participant, for sharing their stories during our Women’s Tea.
Table hostesses played such a key role in making this year’s Tea a success. Tea hostesses were responsible for filling one or more tables of 10 women. Thank you, hostesses, for your time and efforts!
