2011 Hearts for Hope Tea raises over $121,000!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended and participated in our 2011 Hearts for Hope Women’s Tea on Saturday, May 7. Your attendance and generous giving is a huge blessing to us!

This was a record year for our Women’s Tea with over 800 attendees!! In fact our event sold out one month before the Tea!

Also, we are so blessed to announce that the fundraising results of this year’s Tea surpassed our $100,000 goal. Thanks to the generosity of over 800 women, we raised a total of more than $121,000 at our 2011 Tea! These funds will help us serve homeless and displaced women and children in the year to come at our Hope Family Center. Thank you!!

Hope Ministries’ also wishes to express our sincere thanks to Community State Bank for donating $5,000 to our Tea as a corporate sponsor and to Life 107.1 KNWI Christian Radio for the numerous hours of promotion for our Tea.

We were all truly inspired by our keynote speaker Gracia Burnham. Gracia shared about her experience being held hostage—along with her husband—for more than a year in the jungle of the Philippines. We were also blessed by the testimonies of two Hope Family Center graduates.

Be sure to check this page in coming days for photos and video of the event.

Table hostesses played such a key role in making this year’s Tea a success. Tea hostesses were responsible for signing up, inviting guests, securing payment and filling a table of 10 women. Thank you, hostesses, for your time and efforts!
