Hope's Signature Events

In addition to our day-to-day activities, these four events highlight our calendar each year at Hope Ministries:

• Walk a Mile in Their Shoes
... our annual walk-a-thon to help the homeless in central Iowa.



• Hearts for Hope Women's Tea
…our annual fund-raiser for Hope Family Center, our long-term residential and life-recovery program for homeless mothers and their children


• Wake Up Call
  ... our first-ever event just for church youth groups.



• Big Diff Day
…a chance for Hope Ministries volunteers to make a big difference here in our community as part of National Make a Difference Day.



• Scan Away Hunger
…our special Christmastime effort to fight hunger and homelessness in Central Iowa through partnerships with Hy-Vee and KCCI Channel 8 in Des Moines.
