Tailored specifically for all youth 7th grade through 12th grade and church youth groups, hope Ministries’ third annual youth rally is truly meant to be a “Wake Up Call” for today’s teenagers. Just like Samuel in the Bible, God is out to get their attention!

Wake Up CallThere is no ticket price for youth groups to attend Wake Up Call. However, we do highly encourage your youth group to consider raising funds for Hope Ministries in lieu of a ticket cost. We can offer several fundraising ideas for you. We will need to sign off on any fundraising projects, announcements and related materials (printed fliers, handouts, etc.), so please do contact us to prior to beginning your fundraising. Thank you for helping us in this way.

Ideas for youth group Wake Up Call fundraisers

  • Car Wash
  • Bake Sale
  • Collect cans and bottles and return for 5-cent deposit
  • Hire-a-youth—hire a youth to rake your leaves, babysit, help with a home
    improvement project
  • Quarter challenge—all quarters in the offering plate from 2/1/11 to 5/1/11 go to
    Hope Ministries
  • Hope Sunday—have a Hope Ministries guest speaker and take up a special collection
  • Wake Up CallSpaghetti Dinner—youth make a spaghetti dinner and ask for free-will offering from congregation
  • Make little cardboard shacks with a slot in the top and ask people to put in their loose change
  • Cookbook—compile favorite recipes from members of your congregation to put together
    in a church cookbook
  • Silent Auction
  • Pigs in a Blanket meal
  • Garage Sale—can also sell hot dogs/chips/pop/rice krispie bars for lunch
  • Youth Talent Show and Dessert—charge admission
  • Coffee Shop—sell specialty coffees
  • Partner with Pizza Ranch to raise money for Hope Ministries
  • Babysitting Night
  • Souper Bowl Subs

The event will also include music by Riverside Bible Camp and drama and games with AWAKEN.

Comedian Gavin Jerome has been a professional entertainer for the past 20 years, working with the likes of Jerry Seinfeld and Steve Harvey. He has provided humor workshops for major companies such as IBM, Target and Mayo Clinic. His bestselling book, The Comedy College Handbook, is now in its seventh printing. Gavin is sure to get youth groups laughing during this year’s Wake Up Call.
