How do I raise funds for this year’s walk-a-thon?
Participating in our walk-a-thon and raising funds/collecting pledges to help us help the homeless in our community is as easy as one, two, three. Just keep reading!
1. Use our paper Participation Brochure to collect pledges.
Copies of our Participation Brochure—which you can use to record pledges—are available now at these locations.
The brochure will have space for your information as a walker or team leader, as well as information for your sponsors. You do not need to collect cash/checks. Instead, just turn in the form on the day of the Walk and Hope Ministries will collect your pledges.
2. Download our Participation Form.

Can’t get to a QuikTrip or Community State Bank or our other locations? No problem. You can download our participation form here. (Coming soon!) Again, you do not need to collect cash/checks from your sponsors. Simply fill out the form with their contact information and pledge amount and turn in on the day of the Walk. We’ll take it from there!
You can also download a special “introduction letter” that will help you introduce your cause to potential sponsors. You can download and print that letter.
If using our Participation Form: Some sponsors may want to give you cash/check right away. If so, that’s okay. Just ask them to write “Walk” in the memo line of their check and save funds in an envelope. Turn in to us along with your Participation Form on the day of the Walk. Please write “Paid Cash” or “Paid Check” by that sponsor’s name on your Participation Form.
3. Set up your own personal Walk web page on our Web site where your friends and family members can donate to your cause.
New this year! You now have the opportunity to set up your own individual Walk web page where you can set a fund-raising goal and invite family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc., to donate to your cause. Invite sponsors through your Facebook and Twitter contacts, through email and by word of mouth. Sponsors can visit your page and make on online donation. Setting up a page is quick and easy!
