Hope Café

“The only café in Des Moines where you can get three FREE meals a day 365 days a year.”

Hope Café is our community dining hall attached to our Bethel Mission ministry center (1310 6th Avenue, Des Moines). We serve free meals to the community three times a day, 365 days a year. Meals are served:

Monday through Saturday – 7 a.m., 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Sunday – 8 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Hope Ministries provides these community meals thanks to the generosity of many caring individuals, families, churches and local businesses.

We seek to make our Hope Café more than a “soup kitchen” by fostering an atmosphere of fellowship, encouragement and safety. In other words, we don’t only feed the body, but also the soul. We prepare 300 to 400 meals a day for community members and for residents of our shelter and recovery ministry centers.
