Stopping the cycle of homelessness through lasting independence is the ultimate goal of our ‘continuum of care’ program at Hope Ministries. Upon graduation from the S.T.A.R. program at the Door of Faith men’s recovery center, graduates are offered the opportunity to transition to the Hope Transitional Housing, the final step to becoming a productive member of society.
Here eight men live independently in a group home setting for a period of up to one year while they settle into their jobs and begin the process of securing permanent housing. They still receive case management support and are held to high degree of accountability and personal responsibility. They cook their own meals and manage their own day-to-day household tasks.
