Green Bean Sunday
Your donation drive helps keep our shelter’s food pantry filled.
Hope Ministries serves over 10,000 meals a month. To help sustain this demand, we rely on the generosity of the community for food donations. We in turn utilize these in-kind (non-cash) donations to stock our five food pantries. We have one pantry at our Bethel Mission facility, one at the Door of Faith and one in each of the three houses at our Hope Family Center.
Green Bean Sunday is a specific donation drive for canned green beans that will help us keep our pantries stocked. We have found that food donations that focus on one item benefit us more than a mix of canned or dried goods. We also invite you to organize another donation drive focused on other specific canned goods i.e. corn, mixed vegetables, fruit cocktail, etc. We would very much appreciate your efforts.
A Green Bean donation drive could significantly reduce a large cost to our Ministry to the homeless here in central Iowa.
