Hope Ministries is grateful to Hy-Vee and KCCI-TV 8, for their significant endorsement of our ministry and commitment to fight hunger and homelessness in central Iowa. 

Purchase a Scan Away Hunger Gift Card at participating Hy-Vee stores and that store will donate a portion of the proceeds to Hope Ministries to help fund our meals, shelter and recovery programs for the homeless and hungry here in central Iowa.

Teach your kids to fight hunger when you let them Scan Away Hunger at your local Hy-Vee.

Starting Monday, November 28th and running through December 31st, fifteen Des Moines and central Iowa area Hy-Vee stores and KCCI-TV 8 team up again to benefit Hope Ministries during the Fifth annual Scan Away Hunger!

Purchase your SCAN AWAY GIFT CARDS at participating Hy-Vee stores.    

Each $5 gift card contains more than $500 in valuable coupons from 16 different corporate sponsors (see the Gift Card and coupon list displayed below).

Hy-Vee is also sponsoring a drawing for $1,000 of free groceries to those who purchase a gift card. 

HyVee will donate a portion of ALL Gift Card proceeds to Hope Ministries providing funds for our meals and shelter services to homeless men, women and children here in Des Moines and Central Iowa.

LOCAL CHRISTIAN RADIO STATIONS MAKE HISTORY

For the first time ever, five Christian radio stations have joined forces on a common project to help the hungry and homeless in Des Moines and Central Iowa.

Station managers and representatives of the stations gathered for prayer at Hope Ministries in October and made plans to promote Hope Ministries’ Scan Away Hunger in November and December.

“We are humbled by their support and partnership,” says David Burrier of Hope Ministries. “We pray this first-ever coordinated effort will be a powerful Christian testimony to our community.”
