Position Title:
Children’s Activity Leader
Facility/Location: Hope Family Center
Relates closely with: Volunteer Coordinator, Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Director of Family Ministries, Other volunteers, Residents
Purpose: To provide a structured, safe environment while building relationships with children
Duties: Plan and implement children’s activities that include but are not limited to Bible lessons, crafts, games, cooking and snack preparation, outside play and gardening
Time Commitment: (You will choose one day and time per week)
Once weekly for 6 months to 1 year
Qualifications:
• Be in agreement with Hope Ministries’ Mission, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Purpose
• Comfortable in praying with others
• A servant heart
• Other Qualifications or Skills

• Must have understanding of Hope Ministries structure
• Must be passionate about interacting with children
• Must keep good rapport with Hope Ministries staff and residents
• Must have good organizational and planning skills
• Must have good communication skills- both written and oral
• Must be 25 years or older
• Must be called by God to teach
• Must have a passion for working with and nurturing children
• Must be encouraging and affirming
• Must respect and accept needs of the child
• Must be consistent in discipline situations
• Must relate well to all ages of children
• Must have positive attitude; enjoys having fun with children

• Tour of Hope Ministries facilities
• Background check
• Schedule a VIP orientation
• Obtain references
• Schedule an on-site facility orientation
