Position title:
MEAL MINISTER
Facility/location: Bethel Mission Dining Room (Hope Café)
Relates closely with: Food Service Manager, Bethel Mission residents, other kitchen volunteers
Purpose: The Meal Minister’s role is to serve as host/hostess during the community meal at Hope Café.
Duties:
• Greet meal guests as they enter the Hope Cafe and encouragement as they leave.
• Offer the general prayer before everyone is served.
• Socialize by offering to refill drinks
• Provide toys to children from the Meal Minister bin.
• Offer Bibles to guest when appropriate.
• Visit with guests.
• Refer personal needs to Bethel Mission Program Staff.
Time commitment:
(You will choose one day and time per week)
• Monday through Saturday
• Lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Sundays 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
• Be in agreement with Hope Ministries’ Mission, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Purpose
• Comfortable in praying with others
• A servant heart
