Position Title:
Mentor
Facility/Location: Hope Family Center
Relates closely with: Volunteer Coordinator, Director of Family Ministries, Family Case Manager
Purpose: To befriend, encourage, guide and be a Christian role model for an assigned Family Center resident
Duties:
• Meet with resident bi-weekly
• Discuss possible activities/outings with Hope Family Center staff (Director of Family Ministries &/or Family Case Worker)
• Be a positive Christian role model through words of encouragement, affirmation and prayer
Time Commitment: (You will choose one day and time per week)
1-2 hours bi-weekly for 1 year
Qualifications:
• Be in agreement with Hope Ministries’ Mission, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Purpose
• Comfortable in praying with others
• A servant heart
• Other Qualifications or Skills

• Must have understanding of Hope Ministries’ structure
• Must keep good rapport with Hope Ministries staff
• Must be 25 years or older
• Must be a Christian for at least 2 years
• Must be female for women
• Must be able to interact with diverse individuals
• Must show love and compassion for women in recovery
• Must be responsible and accountable

• Tour of Hope Ministries facilities
• Background check
• Schedule a VIP orientation
• Obtain references
• Schedule an on-site facility orientation
