On frigid Iowa winter days, when the sky is overcast and the ground is covered with snow, imagine what it would be like to live on the streets. The wind cuts through you like an ice pick and you'll do anything to find a warm place to rest your weary body.
This is the heartbreaking problem of homelessness but thankfully there is a solution: Hope Ministries and YOU!
When you join hands with Hope Ministries the homeless in central Iowa are blessed with a safe bed and nourishing food to strengthen their bodies. We also offer them help and hope through our compassionate staff and volunteers. We share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ, and we work alongside them as they make life-changing decisions through our long-term recovery and rehabilitation programs.
Since 1915, we have relied on thousands of caring individuals, families, churches, businesses and civic groups who have provided financial support and volunteer time to help us sustain much-needed programs and services for the homeless and hurting in our community!
When you partner with Hope Ministries, we work together to offer lasting solutions that empower the homeless and hurting to build stable, healthy lives. We couldn't provide our life-changing programs and services without partners like YOU.

Ways to help the homeless in your community:
- Send a financial gift
DONATE NOW
Some don't have time to give, but can send financial gift throughout the year. Keep in mind that Hope Ministries does not seek or accept any government (public) funding from local, state or federal sources that compromises our Christ-centered mission. A financial gift of any amount is honored and very much appreciated.
