A Story of Restitution

A Story of Restitution Recently, Bill Primrose, a staff chaplain at Hope Ministries, related the following story to Cole Lindholm, our program director.

About a year ago, a resident at Bethel Mission tipped the candy machine and took out the quarters—around $7. We did not know who did it until today!

A tall young man came into my office this morning and confessed to taking $7 out of the vending machine a while back. Then he asked for forgiveness. The man is going to church and God convicted his heart about stealing. He read in his Bible about how we need to make restitution and he wanted to give back more than he stole. Then he handed me a $20 bill.
