Keeping Our Cupboards Filled

Every day, more than 350 individuals tread through the line in the dining halls at our Bethel Mission, Door of Faith and Hope Family Center facilities.  These folks have endured nearly every obstacle imaginable—job layoff, physical abuse, drug addiction, family crises, mental illness, eviction, poverty, loneliness ... the list goes on and on.

They’ve come to Hope Ministries because they are hungry—hungry for food and hungry for a different way of life.

Thanks to our faithful donors we can offer them: three wholesome meals a day to nourish their worn-out bodies and life recovery programs rooted in Christian principles to help them change how they think and how they live.

All year long Hope Ministries is home to hundreds of people working to build new lives—from the young mother abandoned by her husband and forced to care for her children on her own to the aging man burned out by years of hard-core drug use.  Our hearts break for each life lost in futility.  That’s why our doors are open for anyone to enter.

We must be prepared to meet the needs right here in central Iowa all year long and are grateful to our financial partners who keep our “cupboards” filled with groceries and opportunities for the hurting?
