Dear Ambassadors,

Thank you for being the voice of hope in your church, workplace and/or community! We are so very thankful for the work you do for Hope Ministries. Each time you spread the word about our current outreach opportunities, share our prayer requests and encourage those around you to become involved in our ministry, you are having an impact on the lives of homeless and hungry men, women and children.

So, thank you! We have designed these pages with you in mind and we hope the information and ideas below assist you in your role as a Hope’s Ambassador. Current needs and other announcements

Hope Ministries continues to be grateful to donors who provide hygiene, household, food, clothing and other needed items for our facilities. To find out what our most current facility needs are, we welcome you to visit our Current Needs page for a full listing. If you are interested in donating any of the items listed on that page, please drop them off at our Hope Bargain & Community Outreach in a clearly marked bag or box. Outreach ideas for your church

Share a Pair and Save Some "Souls": We invite our ambassadors and their churches to conduct a "Share a Pair" drive for gently used shoes. When you donate your used shoes to Hope Ministries, we will make sure they’re put to good use. Service and Mission (SAM) Teams . Are members of your church looking for a unique “hands-on” opportunity to visit and bless the homeless in Des Moines? Each Saturday, Hope Ministries takes groups to visit the homeless tent camps along the Des Moines and Raccoon rivers, experience standing in a soup kitchen line, eat at our Hope Café and volunteer at our Hope Bargain Center. Father in Heaven,
I pray for the homeless men, women and children served by Hope Ministries - that they would experience peace of mind and healing physically, emotionally and spiritually. I thank and praise you, Lord, for the volunteers and staff who serve faithfully at Hope Ministries’ Bethel Mission, Door of Faith, Hope Family Center and Hope Outreach Center, giving of their time, energy and love to the shelter and recovery residents. I thank you Lord for all those who sustain the work of Hope Ministries through their faithful and consistent financial support. In Jesus name, Amen.
