Current Needs

We are grateful for the many ways our community partners with us in tending to the needs of the homeless and hungry.

Thank you for helping! To make donation delivery convenient for both you and our staff and volunteers, Hope Ministries offers two monthly donation drop-off days. Delivery days are slated for the second Saturday of each month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and on the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

During these times, we welcome you to bring our donations to our Bethel Mission ministry center at 1310 6th Avenue. Your donation will then be redistributed among our shelter and recovery centers according to where it’s most needed. If you have any questions or if these timeframes do not coordinate with your schedule, please contact us at (515) 265-7272 or info@hopeiowa.org.

We also welcome donations at our Hope Bargain & Community Outreach Center. Donation hours at our outreach center are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We also appreciate when groups collaborate to help us through donation drives for items like those listed below. If you plan to organize a donation drive, please contact us so we can assist in accurate promotion of our ministry to the general public. Send an e-mail to info@hopeiowa.org or call (515) 265-7272 and indicate that your group would like to organize a donation drive for one of the items listed below.

Your donation of clothing helps the homeless! Did you know that Hope Ministries accepts donations of clothing of any kind throughout the year? In addition to providing clothing free to those in need through our King’s Closet program and selling low-cost clothing in our Hope Bargain Center. We also bale excess clothing—much of which is then sent to developing countries. So no matter what happens to your shirts, pants, jackets, shoes, etc., once you donate them to Hope Ministries, you can know you’re making a difference!!

That said, we invite you to donate clothing to our ministry! Or, perhaps you’d consider coordinating a clothing drive for your church, business or organization. If this is something you’re interested in, we welcome you to give us a call at (515) 265-7272 or e-mail info@hopeiowa.org.
