January 2011

Dear Church Ambassadors,

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family this year! It was a busy day at Hope Ministries’ Bethel Mission! With over 100 volunteers we delivered 1,900 meals into the community and served meals on-site at Hope Café as well. So many are alone on the holidays and receiving a meal was wonderful, but it was the fellowship that came with the meal that was really cherished. Volunteers were able to spend a few minutes with each individual or family and listen to their stories and pray with them if they were open to that. It was an amazing day!

2010 has been a wonderful year and we are so thankful for your partnership with our ministry! You have been the voice of Hope in your congregations and have been able to engage folks in donation drives, volunteer opportunities and holiday opportunities. You have helped promote and encourage folks to participate in our Hearts for Hope Women’s Tea, our Wake Up Call youth event and Walk a Mile in their Shoes walk-a-thon and much more! I hope you know how much we value you and your passion for the hurting and homeless that we have the privilege of serving.

It’s hard to believe that a new year is about to begin! As you and your church are planning ahead for 2011, please know that I am available to work with you to schedule on-site volunteer opportunities, schedule a Hope Ministries speaker to come to your church, to discuss donation drive ideas, etc. We are also having an Annual Church Resource Event on Saturday, February 12, at our Bethel Mission facility from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We would invite you to bring your pastor, youth pastors and mission teams to hear about new outreach opportunities for 2011, to learn more about our May 2011 events and to hear the testimony of one our recovery residents. More information will be coming soon. Please call me if you’d like to register or learn more about this event!

Join us for Souper Bowl Sunday on February 6, 2011!! We invite churches to help us stock our food pantry shelves with soup. We are focusing on Chicken Noodle, Vegetable Beef and Tomato soups. We prefer non-condensed and pop-top cans. Call today to reserve one of our soup barrels!

If you haven’t already, join us on Facebook!! You can keep up to date with all that is happening on a daily basis within Hope Ministries. Click here.

Thanks for your partnership with Hope Ministries! We appreciate you so much!

God bless,
