Sponsor a Donation Drive
Hope Ministries’ scope of outreach to the homeless and hungry in Des Moines requires significant resources. Donation drives supplement those resources and stretch our budget with a direct-dollar offset.
Donation drives provide in-kind (non-cash) opportunities for individuals, families, churches and businesses to partner with Hope Ministries in tending to the needs of the homeless, near homeless and hungry here in central Iowa.
Donation drives provide meaningful opportunities for the community to collaborate in a common effort and enjoy collective success as many participants combine individual contributions of paper products, food, clothing, laundry detergent, hygiene items and household items.
We have a comprehensive list of donation drive opportunities and invite you to partner with our ministry as an organizer and/or participant.
Please contact us before you begin organizing a donation drive. We have helpful hints, and specific promotional guidelines in using our logo and name. Donations can be dropped off at our Community Outreach Center located at 4950 OLD East University Ave. in Pleasant Hill. Please call (515) 265-7272 or send an e-mail to info@hopeiowa.org.

IN HER OWN WORDS
“Hi I'm Sarah Dean. I am a 7th grade student at Des Moines Christian School. As part of my accelerated Program at DMC, I had the privilege of organizing a service project. I chose Hope Ministries’ Family Center because I wanted to do something that would benefit children in the Des Moines Area. I chose to have a book and movie drive, as I feel that all children deserve an opportunity to excel academically. I was able to collect 190 books and 54 movies. I would like to present these books and movies to Hope Family Center. Thank you Hope Family Center for all you do for the children of Des Moines and the surrounding area. We appreciate your ministry.”
