Position Title:
Chapel Leader

Facility/Location: Door of Faith

Relates closely with:
• Door of Faith staff
• Door of Faith residents
• Volunteer Coordinator/Church Relations Coordinator

Purpose: Graduates of the STEP program come to live at the Door of Faith to continue their long-term recovery program called the Journey of Hope. The volunteer chapel leader will plan, lead, and conduct a chapel worship service for the men at the Door of Faith to reflect the hope and love of our God and savior Jesus Christ. The services are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 7pm and on Sunday afternoons starting at 1:30pm.

Duties:
• Lead and direct the chapel worship with the Word of God, music, testimony, and/or drama
• Be willing to listen and pray with any one before or after the service

Time Commitment: (You will choose one day and time per week)
Thursday evenings each week. A one year commitment is preferred

Qualifications:
• Be in agreement with Hope Ministries’ Mission, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Purpose
• Comfortable with praying alongside others
• A servant heart
