Position Title:
Cooking Mentor

Facility/Location: Hope Family Center

Relates closely with: Volunteer Coordinator, Family Center Volunteer Coordinator, Director of Family Ministries, Shift Supervisor, Residents

Purpose: As a cooking mentor, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one or one-on-two with the residents of the Hope Family Center and teach essential cooking skills that help women prepare easy, kid-friendly meals and snacks.

Duties:
• Identify easy meals utilizing HFC cook books and other sources as needed
• Coordinate with shift supervisor to procure needed ingredients
• Prepare meal with resident(s)

Time Commitment:
2 times a month for 1 to 2 hours at a time. A six month commitment is preferred

Qualifications:
• Be in agreement with Hope Ministries’ Mission, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Purpose
• Comfortable with praying alongside others
• A servant heart
