Position Title:
Food Donation Pickup Driver

Facility/Location: Des Moines area/Hope Ministries Facilities

Relates closely with: Manager of Food Service, Hope Ministries Food Service staff/program staff, Volunteer Coordinator, other Volunteers and the general public

Purpose: Hope Ministries has a heart to feed the homeless and hungry in Des Moines and Central Iowa. As the Food Donation Pickup Driver, you will drive your vehicle to specified locations for pickup and delivery of food donations. These donations are used in various ways according to the program needs of Hope Ministries. Join us in the mission field and help us feed the hungry.

Time Commitment: (You will choose one day and time per week)
1 to 2 times per month for 1 to 2 hours. A commitment of 6 months preferred

Qualifications:
• Be in agreement with Hope Ministries’ Mission, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Purpose
• Good people skills
• Adult with a valid Iowa Driver’s License
• Familiar with the city of Des Moines and surrounding areas
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Sense of organization
• A servant heart
