Position Title:
Meal Greeter

Facility/Location: Bethel Mission Dining Room (Hope Café )

Relates closely with:
• Food Service Manager
• Bethel Program staff (Chaplains)
• Bethel Mission residents
• Other kitchen volunteers

Purpose: A Hope Meal Greeter will serve as host or hostess for the community meal at Hope Café . A warm smile and good conversation can do a lot for hurting hearts that are often found at the Hope Café . Residents of Hope Bethel Mission, the general public, volunteers and the Hope Ministries staff will be blessed by your willingness to build relationships and reflect the love of our savior Jesus Christ.

Duties:
• Greet meal guests as they enter the Hope Café
• Offer encouragement as guests leave
• Offer the general prayer before everyone is served (optional for volunteers)
• Socialize by offering to refill drinks
• Provide toys to children from the Meal Minister bin (if applicable)
• Offer Bibles to guests, when appropriate
• Visit and listen to guests
• Refer personal needs of meal guests to Bethel Mission Program staff

Time Commitment: (You will choose one day and time per week or month)
2 hours weekly (or monthly).
A 6 month or 1 year commitment is preferred

Qualifications:
• Be in agreement with Hope Ministries' Mission, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Purpose
• Comfortable with praying alongside others
• A servant heart
