Rod was hungry for more than food...

"I wanted to be a part of something," he told us. But that longing to be accepted, led to experimentation with drugs at a very young age . . . which led to years of running wild, broken relationships, trouble with the law and homelessness.

Finally, desperate for change and the chance to start over, Rod came to our men's emergency shelter. "Hope Ministries took me in when even downtown alleys wouldn't want me around."

At Hope Ministries, Rod is receiving three meals every day, safe shelter every night, and the guidance he needs to turn his life around. Through substance abuse counseling, job readiness training and fellowship with staff and fellow residents, he's discovering the fresh start he longed for.

"Being here is a life-changing thing. Now I know God is on my side."

Every day, your financial gifts and prayers make a life-changing difference for Rod and so many others like him. Thank you!
