On Easter Sunday we’ll serve and deliver more than 1,500 meals to hungry men, women and children in Des Moines. We’re grateful that we’ve had a wonderful response to our call for on-site and driver team volunteers. Our volunteer roles are now filled.

However, we’re still in need of food donations! We’ll be collecting donations on Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our Bethel Mission facility (1310 6th Ave). Here’s what we need:

  • Hams
  • Ready-to-serve dinner rolls
  • Cookies in baggies (two per baggie)
  • Ground beef, pork, loin, bacon
  • Milk, cheese, eggs, butter
  • #10 cans of green beans or mixed veggies
  • Ketchup, mustard, mayo (large-size)
