Who We Are - Welcome

Grateful…even in 2020

Do you have a favorite Christmas carol? One of my favorites is “Joy to the World.” It’s a
boisterous and celebratory declaration of the true meaning of Christmas—the wonder of
Christ’s birth.

As I reflect on that song this holiday season in particular, after a year of so many struggles—
including, of course, the COVID-19 pandemic—I can’t help but be reminded that even in the
most challenging of times, we have reasons to be joyful. As Petra points out in her testimony, joy is all around us.

Joy is in the faces of children—like Petra’s—who are spending this Christmas safe and warm
at our Hope Center for Women and Children. It’s in the eyes of men who are finding healing
and hope after years of addiction or women who no longer worry about how they’ll feed their
children tonight. And there is unceasing joy to be found in the life-changing love of God that’s
still at work in the world today.

You can help us continue sharing joy as we feed and care for those most in need this Christmas! Your gifts, prayers and donations of food will help greatly during this critical time of year. So will you give as you’ve been blessed to help provide for those who are hungry, hurting and homeless this Christmas?

Thank you and may you and yours have a joyous Christmas season!
