Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

We’re excited for our Easter meal outreach on Saturday, April 3, during which we’ll deliver meals to individuals and families who are homebound, elderly, and struggling. (Please note, the event takes place on the Saturday before Easter rather than Easter Sunday.)

You might remember that last year we had to cancel our Easter plans due to COVID-19. Thankfully, after much prayer and planning, we were able to hold both our Thanksgiving and Christmas meal outreaches in late 2020—with a variety of health/safety precautions in place. We will continue with those same precautions (masks, temperature checks and social distancing) for our 2021 Easter meal delivery outreach.

Easter volunteer registration is open now! Sign up here.

You can help out by:

  • Volunteering Onsite (9:30 a.m. to noon): Help us assemble and pack meals for men, women and children in need. Onsite volunteers must be 13 or older.
  • Serving as a Meal Delivery Driver Team (10 a.m. to 2p.m.): Deliver meals around the Des Moines area. This is a great opportunity for families with young children! You’ll need a vehicle large enough to hold 25-40 paper sacks.
