Hope Ministries Thrift

Hope Ministries Thrift operates two thrift stores in the Des Moines area, offering reasonably priced new and used clothing, shoes, furniture, household goods and more. We also accept donations at both locations.

Revenue from Hope Ministries Thrift supports Hope Ministries’ programs and services for men, women and children who are homeless, hungry, abused or addicted. So whether you’re shopping at our stores or donating items that could be sold, you’re helping support our food, shelter and recovery services!

Both Hope Ministries Thrift locations are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Donation hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Job openings at Hope Ministries Thrift

Employment opportunities at Hope Ministries Thrift are always available for mission-minded individuals. Positions on our retail and processing teams are open at both store locations.

Positions include:

Corners of Your Field

Corners of Your Field is a partnership opportunity between local churches and Hope Ministries Thrift. Corners of Your Field encourages attendees of our partner churches to be intentional about donating their gently used household items to Hope Ministries Thrift. Our stores then return a portion of the value of these items in the form of gift cards to your church to help struggling individuals and families directly in your care.

Hope Ministries Thrift Donations

Have something to donate? Donations may be dropped off at either of our stores Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Are you donating large furniture, goods, or simply too much to drop off yourself? Let us pick it up from your home or office. Simply fill out this form.

Our goal is to be good stewards of every donation. We ask that donations be clean and in good, usable condition. Here is a list of items we are not able to accept at Hope Ministries Thrift. Donations are sorted, cleaned and priced according to industry standards by our staff and volunteers.
